Geographical Location
The Archdiocese of Tororo comprises the civil districts
of Busia, Kapchorwa, Mbale, Pallisa, Sironko and Tororo. The main
tribes which live in the Archdiocese are: the Bagisu, Bagwe, Bagwere,
Bakenye, Banyole, Basamia, Iteso, Jopadhola, and Sabiny (Sebei).
Of the several languages spoken, the following have been approved for liturgical
use: Ateso, Dhopadhola, English, Kiswahili, Kupsabiny, Luganda, Lumasaba,
and Lusamia-Lugwe.
