
ST. ANTHONY'S HOSPITAL (largest hospital)
Treatment of children under 16 for both Out-Patient and In-Patient and other special clinics, e.g., sickle cell clinic, cardiac clinic, asthmatic clinic, etc.
Out-Patient Care
Treatment of children at the special clinics listed above account for 70% of outpatient care, with 60% of the children being under 5 years of age. The special clinics mentioned above provide 20% of all out-patient service.
In-Patient Care
Children make up 80% of all admissions to the hospital, with the children's ward being the largest in the hospital. Often there are not enough beds and some of the children are forced to sleep on mats on the floor.

BUKWA, DABANI, MAGALE HOSPITALS
These hospitals serve as referral hospitals to St. Anthony's Hospital in Tororo. Since they are located in rural settings where there are no government facilities, they are often overwhelmed by the number of patients they are asked to treat. The following figures apply to all three hospitals.
Out-Patient Care
Children under 16 years of age make up 90% of all out-patients, with 70% being under the age of 5 years.
In-Patient Care
Children make up between 85% to 95% of all in-patient admissions, with 75% being under the age of 5 years.
REMAINING DISPENSARIES AND MATERNITY CENTRE
These units only provide out-patient
care. Approximately 80% of all patients are children under the age of 16
years, with 60% under the age of 5 years.
